Fully Feathered
The chicks are only 4 weeks old, but are huge compared to the 3-day olds they were when they arrived in the mail.
Enough feathers to finally turn off the heat lamp at night. And with the Florida heat quickly taking over our short spring, it will be quite warm in the workshop. But they're still chickies...not big enough to join the hens who would quickly let them know their place in the pecking order. Maybe at 10 weeks. They don't have much more to grow to reach full size! As bantams, they won't be more than 8-9" tall...not including the crest.

It's the most active of the bunch, will adorably run around in circles and come to me. Like a roo!

Got Wings!
The chicks are now hopping up to their branch perches, and even flying to sit atop the feeder.
At first, the wouldn't go near the unfamiliar branches, but boredom helps curiosity.
